Working on Site

All persons working on site are required by Hugh Evans Window Cleaning Services to adhere closely to this documentation and the various safety / courtesy points outlined…  

• Before the commencement of any work adherence to the individual method statement must be consulted.  

• In the event of an accident all operatives will adhere closely to the Post Accident Emergency Procedure & Accident Report documentation

• Before the commencement of any work vehicle must be parked in a safe, courteous and unobtrusive manner so as to ensure safety of client and worker.

• Before the commencement of any work all workers are to ensure that they are wearing the Hi Visibility clothing provided by Hugh Evans Window Cleaning Services.  

• Before the commencement of any work all Hi Visibility Safety warning triangles are to be clearly positioned in all working areas especially near trip hazards or wet floor areas.

• Where situation demands (Initial Builders cleans on construction sites) protective clothing & headgear is to be worn at all times.

• Before vertically erecting any Reach and Wash Pole care should be taken as to what obstructions are above head height – i.e. power and telecommunication cables, trees etc.  If obstruction cannot be negotiated then work in that area will cease.

• The use of all Reach & Wash Poles is to be carried out with the utmost care.  Poles are to be erected in the vertical manner as outlined in training.  This will ensure the safety of clients in the vicinity as well as any individual.

• All unused Reach & Wash Poles / Ladders / Misc work Eqpt must be stored away safely.  In no way should any worker cause an obstruction or safety hazard to the public or any fellow worker. 

• Under no circumstance are any workers to enter personal premises without the express permission of the client.  

• Under no circumstance are any workers to enter a premises communal area without express permission of the Property Mgmt Company or property owner.  

• All workers are non-smokers.   Language is courteous and respectful at all times to both fellow workers and clients.  

• Any accident / incident is to reported to Hugh Evans Window Cleaning Services immediately and then entered onto the accident / incident report sheet.  

• Whilst on site and especially in communal areas any noise / disturbance / disruption / is to be kept to an absolute minimum.   

• Whilst on site and especially in communal areas any water spillage / dirt / is to be cleared immediately.  

• Whilst on site any customer complaint, request or information is to be dealt with promptly and courteously.
